Olive harvest
PROCESS
The olive harvest always takes place in calendar week 42.
For five days, you harvest together with a group of locals for three hours.
On three days, lunch is shared with the harvest group. After theharvest, the olives are immediately taken to the oil mill NUOVACILENTO – Cooperativa Agricola San Mauro, where they are pressed into oil. In the oil mill, you will learn all about the processing and maturing of the oil during an exclusive guided tour on the last day of the harvest. Afterwards, we dine together at the oil mill.
In addition to the harvest, you will of course have plenty of time to enjoy Cilento to the full. When it’s time to go home, a bottle of the best olive oil will travel home with you as a souvenir.
ATTENTION:
In some years, the harvest has to take place earlier due to weather conditions or there are weather or pest-related crop failures. In this case, we can only guarantee the food and the guided tour of the oil mill.

Sugo
At A’ Cràpa Mangia, every year in August it’s time to roll up your sleeves and make sugo. After all, who wants to miss out on the delicious summery taste of freshly harvested tomatoes in winter? Just like every nonna, we also have our favorite recipe. Only – we like to share it. Take a vacation with us, cook tomato sugo with us and then simply take the Cilentan summer home with you in bottles.
